Rabbi Baruch Ber Leibowitz, the Rosh Yeshiva of Kamenetz, visited America in 1928 and strengthened Jews struggling with Shmiras Shabbos. Seeing stores locked on Shabbos, he said, “This holy padlock proclaims: Hashem is God, and we are His servants.”
