Tzlach - R' Yehezkel Landau (1713-1793), Poland, Prague; Named for his sefer ציון לנפש חיה; also known as the Noa BiYehuda. Born in Poland, attended yeshivot in Ludmir and Brody, where he was appointed a judge in the rabbinic court. Later moved to Prague and appointed chief rabbi and established a yeshiva. Also stood in high favor in government circles and was able to intercede with the government on various occasions when anti-Jewish measures were introduced.
