Zecher David R David Zacuto

Zecher David - R' David Zacuto (1778-1865), Italy; Descendant of R' Moshe Zacuto. His uncle and mentor was R’ Shimshon Chaim Nachmani, nephew of the Zera Shimshon. Was a prominent student of Rabbi Yishmael HaKohen of Modena, the author of Zera Emet. Served as the rabbi of Modena from the year 1849. He was an expert mohel and authored halachic works based on knowledge acquired in the fields of medicine and anatomy.
