During WWI, signs were hung up all over, saying: “Whoever doesn’t report to the Russian army base, will be shot”. The Alter of Novardok made a joke about these signs (to the Bachurim who raised their concerns to him) and nothing happened. Similarly, the Rebbe of Lubavitch (the Rashab Zatzal) made a joke out of the NKVD as they were entering his “cabinet”, and they ended up doing zero.
I was taught in Novardok (by R' Chaim Langleben Zatzal) #1 - No Ka'as! anger. It’s worth putting lots of effort in acquiring Savlanus patience and not getting in Ka'as. I was once by a dentist who was super nice, but he had no control over his Ka'as. Needless to say, he lost all his Chen by everyone.
“Frumkeit” can be a killer; harming the person himself and the people around him. Especially a “frum” Ka'asan and Kapdan. However, in this Dor we need to be: מֵ לִ יץ (advocate on behalf) and respect everyone, since in his own (albeit distorted) way, he does what he perceives as good. We may look down at him, but in Shamayim he may be much more Chashuv in the eyes of Hashem than we realize. אֵ ין הַ קָ בָ "ה מְ קַ פֵ חַ שְ כַר כָל בֶ רְ יָה NOTHING goes unrewarded. Don’t be M'vatel people!
