It was during World War II, when the Nazis invaded France and their control was complete, and every Jewish man or woman who was found on the streets of France without the framework of work authorized by the Nazis was condemned to be sent on death trains to one of the extermination camps. One of the largest seamstresses in Paris received the government's approval to employ Jewish women, and thus many women found refuge from the German invaders. One of these women was Rebbetzin Shteinman in her youth before she married Rabbeinu zt"l.
