Teaching Through Tuition

Many people lament the high cost of tuition. While it can indeed be a financial challenge, how might we choose to view it?

Consider the perspective of the great R' Ezra Harari-Raful (1857–1936). Each month, he would hand his son an envelope with money to cover his yeshiva tuition. As he did, he would say, “I am now fulfilling the mitzvah of teaching my son Torah.”
