IN HOUSE BRACHAH

זכרו תורת משה | December 10, 2025

In the process of publishing his new Parsha B’eish, the Hebrew edition of Parsha on Fire, my good friend, R’ Hillel Eisenberg, shared a story that his publisher disclosed:

At 1:45 PM, one of the largest printing companies in New Jersey holds a daily minyan for Minchah. Laborers in the vicinity of the print house put aside their work and gather in the conference room for davening.

When the print house’s conference room needed to undergo some minor renovations, its owner reached out to a local law firm to house the minyan during the interim. They law firm happily agreed. For the next few weeks, the employees gathered in the law office’s conference room for the afternoon Minchah.

After the renovations were completed, the print house owner announced at the end of the Minchah that “starting tomorrow, we’ll relocate the minyan back to our printing factory.” However, the manager of the law firm quickly vetoed him.

“I want it to remain here!” he demanded. “Our firm had been servicing the community for over 25 years, and this month’s earnings have superseded anything we had ever seen. Hosting the minyan has been the key to our success, and we don’t want it to let up.”

The owner of the printing shop, though, wasn’t so quick to acquiesce. “But that’s exactly why we need it back! Our business has taken a dip over the past month, and now I know why. We never experienced such a setback, and in no way will we forgo the zechus of hosting this minyan.”

The next day, the Minchah minyan returned home to their newly renovated conference room, per the order of their boss. To date, the shop supplies much beyond the tri-state area with top-notch service and quality printing, thanks to their in-house brachah.

With Rosh Hashanah upon us, everyone looks for ways to be granted a good new year. By going the extra mile for Hashem, He, in return, supplies us with exceptional brachah.
