And this is a: הַ לָּ כָּ ה פְ סוּקָּ ה clear Halacha which originates from Ezra HaSofer who said: לְכוּ אִּכְלוּ מַשְׁמַנִּּים וּשְׁתוּ מַמְתַּקִּים וְשִּׁלְחוּ מָּנוֹת לְאֵּין נָּכוֹן לוֹ כִּי קָּדוֹשׁ הַיּוֹם לַאֲדֹנֵּינוּ וְאַל תֵּּעָּצֵּבוּ כִּי חֶּדְ וַת ה' הִּיא מָּעֻּזְכֶּם נחמיה ח י Go out and eat good food and sweet drinks, because rejoicing in the day of Hashem will be your strength. Indeed, Orchos Chaim of the Rosh says that the main difference between a Yid and a Goy is Bitachon. Don’t be a Goy! No more panic modes and getting depressed! That’s for Goyim, not for us. And it’s against Halacha, and against Ezra HaSofer (who was equal to Moshe Rabeinu).
The Chassidim say that you can pour your heart out and cry to Hashem, as long as you first spend time with plenty of Simcha! First comes Rosh Hashanah, where it’s Assur (forbidden) to even mention Chet; and only later comes Yom Kippur where we get involved in Chata’im (sins). Today especially, a person has no Koach for any negatives, unless he is first loaded with positives.
Hilchos Rosh Hashanah are a lesson for your entire year, to insist on positivism. It will give you Refuos and Yeshuos!
