Egyptian Rabbi Moshe ben Maimon, a.ka. Rambam, has recently finished writing a Torah scroll.
“Rabbi Moshe is busy night and day, learning and arranging a 14-volume encyclopedia of Jewish law,” said neighbor Rachamim Shachen-Tov. “From early morning to late at night, he’s totally engrossed in the project. I don’t know when he found the time to write a Torah scroll. Rabbi Moshe continues to amaze me. I have no words. I’m speechless... (etc. etc. etc. etc.)!”
When asked about this massive project in an exclusive interview with TNS, the great scholar responded, “Even if one purchases a Torah scroll, writing one yourself adds a special dimension – it is as if you received the Torah from HaShem on Mt. Sinai!”
