The pasuk says והאיש משה ענו מאד מכל האדם, Moshe was exceedingly humble more than any person. Bamidbar 12:3.
But how could someone who spoke directly to Hashem remain so humble? Another question is why does the Torah add מכל האדם, more than any person? It could have simply said, והאיש משה ענו מאד?
The key to Moshe’s humility was מכל האדם, from every person. Moshe looked at each individual and saw their inner battles, their challenges, their temptations — and was awestruck by their ability to overcome them. It wasn’t despite his greatness that he was humble — it was because he truly saw the greatness in others. That perspective is what made Moshe the humblest of all.
Let us all take a lesson from this and be humbled by other people. As a wise man once said, “The only person who doesn’t impress is the one I don’t know.”
