Rav Nosson Tzvi Finkel Rosh Yeshivas Mir Yerushalayim

Rav Nosson Tzvi (ben Eliyahu Meir) Finkel, Rosh Yeshiva of Mir-Yerushalayim (1943-2011). Born in Chicago, he was named for his great-grandfather, the Alter of Slabodka. At the age of 18, he came to Yerushalayim to learn in the Mir under his cousin, Rav Eliezer Yehudah Finkel. He had a learning seder with Rav Zundel Kroizer, in which they finished shas each year. Rav Nosson Tzvi was appointed Rosh Yeshiva in 1990.
