5743-1982, the Rebbe joined the funeral procession of Rabbi Shlomo Aharon Kazarnovsky, a senior rabbi and leading Chabad activist in America. Before returning to 770, the Rebbe asked for confirmation that a bus would be arriving to transport the yeshivah students to the cemetery, so they would be present for the burial.

5729-1968, in a letter to an individual, the Rebbe wrote, “I hope you are taking part in the efforts to disseminate the study of Iggeret Hateshuvah [The Epistle on Repentance] by the Alter Rebbe, which was just reprinted.” During that period, the Rebbe was regularly expounding on this work and encouraging others to study it.
