Rav Yehuda Liva Epstein

Rav Yehuda Liva Epstein was the Rosh Yeshiva of Lvov outside the city (for approximately 100 years, Lvov had two simultaneous rabbonim serving as Av Beis Din: one inside the city walls, and one outside them), and many gedolei hador emerged from his Beis Midrash. He served as Rav and Dayan in the Beis Din outside the city, along with the gaon and Rosh Yeshiva Rav Avrohom Shrentzel (author of Eisan HaEzrachi), Av Beis Din Rav Yaakov Ashkenazi Katzenellenbogen, and the dayanim and gedolim Rav Avrohom Zaltztberg and Rav Moshe Ashkenazi.
