In this week’s Torah portion, the Kohanim are commanded not to drink a Revi’is measure of wine, which causes intoxication, when he will be serving in the Beis Hamikdash (Holy Temple). There is an opinion that even now a Kohen may not drink wine because he has to be ready to serve in the Beis Hamikdash, which we expect to be rebuilt immediately. Intoxication from a Revi’is of wine goes away if one sleeps for a short time or waits the amount of time it would take to walk a Mil, which is between 18-24 minutes. But Moshiach can come with a completely built Beis Hamikdash immediately, and there wouldn’t be time to wait for that!
