On the Parsha

We learn in the parsha about the completion of the mishkan, and the Gemara brings down that this day was a day of extreme simcha and happiness, just like when the world was created. Why is this so?

We know that we are the purpose of the whole creation, and, like the Vilna Gaon says at the beginning of his sefer Even Shelaima, we came into this world to break our middos!

The Ohr haChaim haKadosh speaks here at length how Moshe Rabbeinu gave over the kehuna to Aharon haKohen with a pure heart, which is the exact opposite of human nature, which is to "burn up" with jealousy of others, even if (or especially if...) the jealousy doesn't make any sense at all. Here Moshe Rabbeinu went exactly the opposite of human nature, and gave over the kehuna #1 right away, #2 to Aharon's offspring as well, and #3 in front of everybody (as the Ohr haChaim explains).

This is exactly like the Rambam in Pirkei Avos (4:4) that brings that the happiest day of a certain oved's life was the day that he got horrible bizyonos (embarrassment), and couldn't care less! A "Novardekor" Rambam!

If you live in a society where going against the "smallness" within yourself is everything, you are automatically a happy person. Traffic, red lights, lack of money, bizyonos, mistakes, failures, disappointments, fears, aggravations...aderaba! An opportunity to work on the middos! With this you are fulfilling the true purpose of your creation (but don't look for trouble!), and are bringing unique joy to Hashem, much more than anyone else in the whole entire world.

Story:

In Novardok, everyone had a "rosh vaad" to whom they would "report to" on their own personal pursuit of a happy life of closeness to Hashem, each one in his own way. When you get kavod and recognition for the right things, then you really grow! And when you know (and keep hearing) that you have an automatic, built-in A+ for effort, direct from Hashem Himself (which is all that matters anyways), then you really move!

Question:

Everything is going great for me now, bli ayin hara, but I'm "afraid" for the future.

Answer:

If the world is a scary, black, crazy, dangerous, cruel place, these fears are very understandable. But if you recognize that this world is a good, safe, healthy, normal, perfect place, with everything master-planned by your loving caring father Hashem, what is there to be worried at all? Hashem can and will give you a dream life, with nothing to worry about whatsoever, for now and forever. Our job is just to go around feeling Hashem's love, which is the goal of all avodas Hashem (see Chovos haLevavos Shaar haBechina and Shaar Ahavas Hashem).
