3 times a day you make them a meal - sometimes they like it, sometimes they don't...

When you teach your child to thank you for each meal you set before him, you are helping him develop the attitude of gratitude. No, it wasn't "coming" to him. No, it didn't arrive from outer space. Someone (you) had to go to a great deal of trouble to put it there and by teaching the child to show appreciation, you are helping him to realize this. His joy in living, and his understanding of giving, will both be enhanced.

Do you notice that you fall into a low mood from time to time?

Focusing on any form of negativity lowers our mood. We can have low mood from thinking about what's wrong with our loved ones. We can have low mood from thinking about how sad our past was or how bad our future will be. We can have low mood from thinking about all the mistakes we've made. We can have low mood from thinking about what's wrong with the world. In fact, if we want to induce low mood, we can choose to think about any painful, unjust, unfortunate aspect of life or relationships - and there we have it - a miserable mood! But why would we want to do that?
