One Last Explanation – Moshe Screamed So That Pharaoh Could Hear His Tefillos

למודי משה | January 09, 2026

The sefer Ohr Yisrael (R’ Isser Yehudah Malin zt”l, pg. 188) writes: Pharaoh’s house was full of avodah zorah and Moshe couldn’t daven there. Since the removal of the plague was dependent on the tefillah of Moshe, how would Pharaoh know that the plague was removed due to Moshe’s tefillah, if he wasn’t able to daven in his presence? Because of this, as soon as Moshe left Pharaoh’s house, he davened loudly, so that his voice could be heard in the house of Pharaoh, and Pharaoh would hear that Moshe was davening to Hashem. And when in fact the next day all the frogs left, and only those in the river remained, everyone saw the strength and wonders of Hashem, and that there is no one as powerful as Him.”
