There was a bright Yeshiva student in Lakewood who got married. At the end of one of the Sheva Brochos seudos, the Zeida of the choson got up and gave a speech that went something in the following lines: “I would like to tell you about an incident that happened in Europe. There was a young boy who was attending a cheder. He did not have good behavior. One time he misbehaved and the principal decided to kick the boy out of the cheder. The boy went to the Rav of the town and told him, “I want to have a din Torah to argue my case.” At the Beis Din, the Dayan turned to the boy and asked, “What is your claim?” The boy responded, “There is only one cheder where we live. If I get thrown out of it, what will become of me? What will be with my children and grandchildren?! True, maybe I deserve to be thrown out of the cheder, but, can you say that you have “looked this way and that way" (like Moshe Rabbeinu did before he killed the Egyptian) and saw that in the future no good person will descend from me? By kicking me out of the cheder, the principal is sentencing my descendants to a bad path. That is not right!” The principal, who was present in the room, was very moved by the words of that boy and accepted the boy back into school."
Then, the Zeida looked up at everyone and said, “I am that boy! Now, look at my grandson, the choson, who is a tzazdik and Ben Torah. See what happens! You never know who might come out from someone.”
