The Sefer HaChinuch explains the reason why Tzitzis has a blue-Tcheiles string and white strings, and why we wrap the blue around the white. He says that Tcheiles symbolizes the Nefesh, since Tcheiles resembles the sea, which resembles the sky, and the sky resembles the Kisei HaKavod. Blue is a spiritual color, and the Nefashos of the Tzaddikim are hidden under the Kisei HaKavod. “White” represents the Guf (the human body) which was created from snow, which is white. White strings are like hands and feet, and Tcheiles is like the Neshama. We wrap the Tcheiles around the white, like the Neshama which is above the Guf (body).
He also says that the Tzitzis symbolize the Taryag Mitzvos. It appears like the whole idea of Tzitzis is to encourage the Neshama to be Mis'gaber over the Guf (body) (ו לֹאְְּּ ת תוּרוְּּ א חֲרֵיְּ ל ב ב כֶםְּ ו א חֲרֵיְּ עֵינֵיכֶם) and to remember to do all the Mitzvos. By wrapping the blue over the white you are making the Neshama the Ikar. Similarly, the Cohen Gadol wore the: מ עִיל Me’il on top, which was: כ לִילְּ ת כֵלֶת total Tcheiles, while his undergarment, the: כ תֹנֶת K'sones, was white.
We can suggest that this is exactly the same idea as Tzitzis having blue on top, and perhaps an Inyan of blue controlling the white. Especially since the: מ עִיל Me’il has Rimonim (pomegranates) at the bottom, which have Taryag (613) pits! It is interesting that although there is an Issur to rip any of the Bigdei Kehuna (Rambam), the only one where the Torah states so explicitly is the: מ עִיל Me’il. And the: מ עִיל Me’il had a very tough: מ עֲשֵהְּאֹרֵג band by the neck area. It was: כ פִיְּת ח ר א just like armor. (Rashi).
What's armor doing on the Bigdei Cohen Gadol?? And why were the Yidden called: צִב אוֹתְְּּה' the army of Hashem when they left Mitzrayim? Why did they have: ד ְּג ְּלְִּים flags and go out: חֲמֻשִ ים armed? We can suggest that it's all about Milchemes HaYetzer, and that’s why even a woman is called Eishes Chayil, since we are all soldiers in the fight against the Yetzer Hara. The blue: מ עִיל Me’il represents the Nefesh, which needs to be especially guarded.
Hashem intentionally makes a situation or a person scary like an “ogre” or a “bear”, to see if a person can dominate his mind with fear of Hashem, who is much stronger than anything. If in his mind he belittles the power of the “bears” and “ogres” of his life, and remembers how Hashem is really in charge, and is full of goodness and Yeshuos, then indeed Hashem will continue doing Nissim and Yeshuos for him
