Namely that this whole spy-sending episode was a preparation for the B’nei Yisroel’s actual entry into the land of Eretz Yisroel, especially so, as according to that which the Medrash explains and is brought down in Maamorim, the word ‘וְׁיָתֻּרוּ’ comes from the word ‘יִׁתְׁרוֹן’ meaning ‘addition’). Thus ‘addition’ alludes to elevating and to refining all the Inyonim of this lowly land - the world of ‘Maaseh’.
Furthermore, [secondly, the person benefits from causing an elevation in the world] as the Possuk states: (when retelling the words of Yehoshua & Kolev) לַחְׁמֵׁנוּ הֵׁם “They are as our bread”. That the ‘Divine sparks’ in the lowly objects are the ‘לֶׁחֶׁם’ from which: יִׁחְׁיֶׁה הָאָדָם.
Divine Sparks in Mundane Matter
This refers to the 288 fallen sparks of Divine energy that fell into material objects with the ‘Shviras Hakeilim’ (The breakup of vessels. Which is an early stage in the world’s creation. Enacted in order to create a mixture of good and bad, thus Divine sparks in mundane matter.) These sparks await a Jew to come and elevate them. In Kesser Shem Tov (1:159) it is brought down from the Arizal that Our sages of blessed memory have said: “With Ten utterances the world was created”. In other words, as a result of the Ten utterances the world was created. Because the word of HaShem is supernal and holy. As soon as HaShem said let there be a firmament- there was a firmament. Like the Possuk says בדבר ה 'שמים נעשו with the word of HaShem the heavens were made. Because that utterance went into the inner life of the firmament to vitalise it that it shall continue for all the days of its life. As the Possuk states לעולם ה 'דברך נצב בשמים “Forever HaShem your words remain in the heavens”. So too when HaShem said: “Let the earth bring forth living creatures”. And: “Let the earth sprout vegetation, and fruit trees producing fruit”. The words of the utterances created everything. And the words of the utterances are their life force and vitality. And when a person takes a fruit or piece food and recites the Brocho over it with the correct intentions and he says Boruch Atoh HaShem and when he mentions Hashem’s name he awakens that vitality through which this fruit was created because everything was created by HaShem. And each species finds its own species and it wakens itself up. This vitality is what vitalises the Neshomoh. This refers of course to Kosher permissible foods which Hakodosh Boruch Hu commanded us to elevate from the physical into the spiritual.
