5738 – 1978, in the lead up to the fiftieth annual celebration of the Previous Rebbe’s liberation from Soviet imprisonment, the Rebbe announced that the public letter and accompanying discourse issued by the Previous Rebbe ahead of the first anniversary, as well as the discourse delivered on that occasion, would be reprinted in honor of the milestone, so that everyone can study and internalize those teachings.”
