בּ To clarify this concept of ‘judges and officers that you shall install at your gates’ at a deeper level, there is a Possuk that states: הּבַעְלָ נוֹדָע בַשְעָרִים “Her husband is known in the gates” Her husband is Hakodosh Boruch Hu, whom no mind can grasp at all, [yet] nevertheless, He is known at the gates, meaning, that He becomes known (as in grasped) through ים שְעָרִ which we translated as gates but [this word] has two other interpretations. 1. יםשְעָרִ meaning כָל חַד וְחַד לְפוּם שִֹׁיעוּרָא דִיל יה each one according to his own ability, for one man’s Avodah is nothing like that of his friend. This means that
deeper understanding. No mind can grasp: which contradicts the statement that ‘her husband is known’. So that Possuk is a bit of an oxymoron.
Nevertheless: Despite the fact that it is impossible to know Him or to grasp Him.
Grasped: And it becomes possible to grasp Him via the ‘She’orim’.
His own ability: Hashem in essence is beyond comprehension however Hashem allows Hismself to be known to each on his own level and ability. Depending on the individual how fitting he is to know and to understand. As the Zohar (1.103a) writes: Most certainly נוֹדָע בַּשְּׁעָרִ ים בַּעְּׁלָה that Hakodosh Boruch Hu is known and connected to each person according to his own assessment in his heart, each one according to how much he can connect to the spirit of wisdom and according to how much he is able to estimate in his heart that is how much his heart will know.
One man’s Avodah: One man’s style of serving and worshiping Hashem is unlike another man’s style of serving and worshiping Hashem.
That of his friend: And every Jew serves HaShem according to his own
