One may wonder: The mishna states: “It is forbidden to ride the horse of the king, and it is forbidden to sit on his chair, and it is forbidden to use his scepter...” (Sanhedrin, 22a). If it is forbidden to use anything of the king, why is a specific source needed for the prohibition against using his sefer Torah?
