The Rebbe and His Mother’s Journey

5707-1947, the Rebbe and his mother began a week-long journey from France to the United States. After Rebbetzin Chana’s escape from the Soviet Union, the Rebbe had gone to greet her in Paris and accompany her to New York. After some twenty years of separation, mother and son remained in close proximity until Rebbetzin Chana’s passing in 1964.
