Despite facing one of life’s most difficult challenges, Rabbi Yitzi Hurwitz continues to spread joy and faith to thousands around the globe. Diagnosed in 2012 with ALS, Rabbi Yitzi is now 95% paralyzed and no longer able to speak or breathe on his own. Thanks to the miracle of technology, Rabbi Yitzi continues to spread his wisdom through his eyes, focusing on each and every letter of these Torah articles. Rabbi Yitzi, his wife Dina and their seven children are the Rebbe’s Shluchim to Temecula, California.
“Dear Rabbi Yitzi
I happened to see your story on Chabad website and I’m deeply inspired by your unwavering dedication to sharing Torah wisdom despite the challenges of ALS.
I acknowledge the immense pain and agony that comes with this condition, yet your resilience and faith shines through. It’s mind-boggling, truly remarkable!
Your strength is a beacon of hope, illuminating the beauty of Judaism. And your striving to make a difference makes me like “Woow!!” You are such a big fighter!
Hashem should continue to grant you the courage and comfort.
You’re an inspiration, Believe me, I really do understand the long term pain that comes along with his terrible illness yet your unbelievable spirit continues to shine!”
