The above can be understood in the realm of a person’s Avodas HaShem as follows; prayer which as mentioned operates within the realm of ‘Rotzoi’ as the statement in the Zohar: “There is no Avodah like the Avodah of love’ is not the ultimate perfection because even if one were to serve HaShem from the highest levels of love -‘Love of delights’ his connection with HaShem is still limited to [a person’s existence as ‘someone’] who loves HaShem. Whereas connecting to HaShem in Wisdom through Torah which as mentioned operates within the realm of ‘Shov’ can achieve the highest levels of self-nullification.
And this is the difference between prayer and Torah study; prayer expresses the concept of ‘Mochin of Imma’ otherwise referred to as ‘Binah’ that one needs to meditate and contemplate [HaShem] before prayer as is explicit in Shulchan Oruch and explained at length in Chassidus. Whereas Torah study expresses ‘Mochin of Abba’ as the Talmudic maxim illustrates: “Let my soul be as dust to all open my heart to Your Torah” to the extent that one can be completely self-nullified from his whole existence and because of this self-nullification one can now connect within the vector of ‘Shoiv’ and draw down a ‘Hamshocha’ below.
And even though someone who studies Torah does have a powerful presence to such an extent that he can even change the natural order of the world as our Sages have stated: on the Possuk: “Upon the G-d Who completes [what He promised] for me”! However, it is [HaShem’s existence] not his own existence as the Possuk states: “And I placed My words into your mouth”.
