To prepare for Passover, we thoroughly scrub our homes to remove any trace of leaven. Consult an Orthodox rabbi for guidance on how to “Kasher” your kitchen, which may require using boiling water or a blowtorch. We use different dishes for Passover. New dishes need to be dipped in a Mikvah before use. We cover the counters. Make sure that you and everyone you can reach gets round handmade Shmurah Matzah. Make sure you have Kosher wine for the four cups and all the rest of the things needed for the Seder. Horseradish should be fresh, not pickled. The peeler and knife used for it must be only for Passover, and dipped in a Mikvah before use. All Chametz (leaven – including flour, pasta, cookies, crackers etc.) that you don’t get rid of must be locked up and sold to a non-Jew through an Orthodox rabbi. Make sure to help everyone have what they need to observe and celebrate the holiday!
