- In Adar, the month of Purim, we are to increase in joy.
- Add more joy, and something new, every day.
- Bring joy to others too – complete joy is joy that is shared.
- Add in Torah and Mitzvos – “The commands of G-d are upright, they gladden the heart.” Learn more Torah, both the revealed part and especially the esoteric part, and fulfill the Mitzvos beautifully.
- Through adding in joy in Torah and Mitzvos, this will also be expressed in adding joy with physical things. Make yourself and others, starting with your family, happy with things that naturally make them happy. The husband should make his wife happy, and parents should make their children happy.
- The father especially should make his children happy, which gives them extra happiness, because they see that sometimes their father speaks to them harshly, to educate them, but in a way that this leads to extra fondness towards them.
- Make others around you happy.
- The Mitzvah of Tefillin especially makes one extra happy.
- The name of sixth Chabad Rebbe (father-in-law of the present Rebbe King Moshiach Shlita) is Yosef Yitzchak, which means adding in laughter and happiness. It is time to practice and get ready for “our mouths will be filled with laughter” in the Redemption through Moshiach!
