עוד יוסף חי – 25:23
“ועשית שלחן עצי שטים, אמתים ארכו ואמה רחבו ואמה וחצי קמתו” – “You shall make a Shulchan of Shittim wood, two Amos its length, and an Amah its width, and an Amah and one half its height.” The Shulchan is in the place of the Mizbe’ach, as it says in Brochos 55a that during the time of the Bais Hamikdash, the Mizbe’ach was Mechaper. There were two Mizbechos in the times of the Bais Hamikdash: one was inside the Bais Hamikdash where Ketores was brought, and the one outside was to bring the Korbonoei Olos, Temidin, and Musafin. This is why the רש"ש taught us that everyone should be careful to learn at his table during the Seudah the Parshah of Ketores, and the Perek of איזהו מקומן, as these two are in place of the two Mizbechos. By one toiling in Torah during his meals, and by inviting the poor to his meals, it brings much Shefa, goodness to the person; it opens up 27 pathways for one to receive Shefa from Hakodosh Boruch Hu. The 27 are comprised of the twenty-two letters of the Aleph Bais, along with the five Ende letters, מנצפ"ך. This is the reason that the Shulchan is 2 Amos in length, by 1 Amah in width, and 1 Amah in height – for it is a total of 27 Tefachim, which is K’neged the 27 conduits which bring Shefa.
Shemos 33:19 “ויאמר אני אעביר כל טובי על פניך וקראת בשם ד' לפניך, וחנותי את אשר אחון ורחמתי את אשר ארחם” – “And he said: I shall cause all My goodness to pass before you, and I shall call out with the Name Hashem before you; and I shall show you favor when I shall show favor, and I shall have mercy when I shall have mercy.” The Mon came down from Shomayim in the Zechus of Moshe Rabbeinu. Tehillim 78:19 “לערוך שלחן במדבר” – to set a table in the Midbar. The length of the Shulchan is two Amos, which is 12 Tefachim, K’neged the י"ב of the word, “טובי”. The width of the Shulchan is one Amah, which is 6 Tefachim, K’neged the ו' of “טובי”. The height is one- and one-half Amos, which is nine Tefachim, K’neged the ט', of “טובי”. This is what the Posuk is telling us, “אנכי אעביר כל טובי” – “טובי” – Gematria of 27, the twenty-seven pathways which are alluded to in the Shulchan, to give Klal Yisroel Shefa at their tables that they set up.
