What is the proper perspective on giving boys a day off from yeshiva on Sundays?

On the seventh of Adar Sheini in 1973 R' Moshe Feinstein wrote a letter addressing the idea of giving boys off on Sunday. He writes that it is absolutely forbidden. Beyond the issue of bitul Torah, such idleness harms both the body and the soul. What is a person meant to do when he sits idle, if not fall into sin?

Conversely, when there is learning on Sunday, in addition to the immense value of limud haTorah itself, it serves to cleanse the heart and soul, drawing a person toward holiness and purity.
