As is well known, women who do not succeed in getting pregnant cry over the grave of Rachel our mother and ask her to pray for them. A woman who had been married for more than 10 years and was unable to get pregnant decided to go and pray at Rachel's Tomb. She arrived at the grave, sobbed, asked and cried for several hours. At the end, she promised Rachel that if she would get pregnant as she wished, she would promise to invite her to the circumcision.
God willing, and a few days later the woman was informed that she was pregnant. After a healthy and intact firstborn son was born, the same woman went to close the circle and placed an invitation to the circumcision on Rachel's grave. At a good time, after eight days, the circumcision ceremony took place and there was a celebration in the hall with a lot of people, a lot of food and a lot of joy. The parents, who were so happy about the birth of the baby, decided that this event was very important, so at the exit of the hall, they gave each of the guests who arrived, a small card, on one side a picture of the baby, and on the other side a prayer of travel on the road.
Among all the guests who came to celebrate with the family, a woman arrived dressed entirely in white clothes. After inquiries between the husband and wife, they came to the conclusion that the foreign woman who appeared in the hall was not invited, neither by the husband nor by the wife. Ask people around her if anyone knew her, but no one knew who she was. The woman sat at the table and because she didn't behave strangely, they didn't ask her to leave.
As you know, in every event there is a photographer who takes pictures of the celebrants, the baby, the family, etc... After developing the images of the circumcision, they were astonished to discover that all the pictures in which the foreign woman appears in the background were burned. All the pictures except for one picture that shows the woman's hand at the end of the picture. The new mother realized that something strange had happened during the circumcision and the development of the images. Then, suddenly, she remembered Rachel's grave and the invitation she had placed on her grave. Could it be that the mysterious woman dressed entirely in white was Rachel, our mother herself, who decided to accept the invitation and come to rejoice in her joy? The thought crossed her mind and did not let go of her all night. She made up her mind to return to Rachel's Tomb in order to thank her for participating in her joy. The next morning the woman arrived at the grave, and her breath stopped as she looked at the grave. The reservation she made wasn't there! And in its place was a small picture of the baby, and the prayer of the road behind it! This is the same souvenir that was distributed to the guests during the circumcision.
