Free from All Distractions

Rebbe Responsa | June 27, 2025

By the Grace of G-d
25th of Adar, 5718
Brooklyn, N.Y.

Mr. Roy Levitansky
1221 S. Lawndale Avenue
Chicago, Ill.
Greeting and Blessing:

After the long interval, I received your letter of 12th of Adar. As requested, I will remember you in prayer when visiting the holy resting place of my father-in-law of saintly memory.

As we are now in the happy month of Adar, and are approaching the month of deliverance and freedom, this is a time when Jews are expected to be happy and enjoy freedom from all distracting matters. And since the Torah expects it, it must also provide the opportunities conducive to such a state of mind. I send you my prayerful wishes that be so in your case also.

It is a long time since I heard from your brother. I assume that all is well with him.
With blessing
