Grandchild

In Yiddish, the word for grandchild is אייניקעל, einekel. What is the origin of this word?

The well-known Rav and posek, R' Dovid Cohen, writes that he heard that it comes from the pasuk in the episode of Moshe and the burning bush where it says והסנה איננו אכל, the bush was not consumed. Through having a grandchild, a person merits continuity and איננו אכל, he is consumed.
