That They Take Me A Heave Offering - “Me” means to the glory of My Name (Midrash Tanchumoh, Terumah 1). תרומה Terumoh, is something set apart (Onkelos); the meaning is: let them set apart from their possessions a voluntary gift in My Honor. ידבנו לבו - The word ידבנו is of the same root as נדבה (the נ in the latter being replaced by the Dagesh in the ד); it is a term denoting “good-will”, apaisement in old French (Rashi on Bereishis 33:10 & Vayikroh 19:5). Or present - Geshenk.

Rav Zushoh of Anopoli ZY”A, once met an extremely overweight Yid. Rav Zushoh questioned him, the source of his stature, to which he answered as follows: “If I will have the opportunity to stretch out my throat to be sacrificed Al Kidush Hashem – for the Name of G-D, there should be that more fat to me, to sacrifice.

From The aforementioned Rashi and Meforsim we learn that a Yid must be ready to sacrifice for Hashem, הן בגופו, והן בממונו, whether it is physically or monetarily. The building of the Mishkon is that there shall be a dwelling place for The Shechinoh among us in this lowly materialistic world. To sanctify The Name of Hashem in our midst.

The Beis Aharon of Karlin ZY”A says, that by learning the Medrash on Parshas Terumoh, one can become a Chossid. The Medrash expounds, that a King took a son-in-law for his only daughter. After the wedding the new son-in-law was to return to his land with the queen. The father asked his son-in-law to build for him a dwelling place in his land that he travels to visit and dwell in their land. So too, Kavi-Yochol Hashem gave the Torah and Mitzvos to Klall Yiisroel. Hashem asks Klall Yisroel, make for me a Mishkon, a dwelling place that I shall dwell amongst you.

The Chidushei HaRim ZY”A says that Rosh Chodesh Nisson the day of the Hakomas HaMishkon – the construction of the Tabernacle, is a Yom Tov [Holiday] to the present day. Since The Mishkon was not destroyed [as the Beis HaMikdosh was on Tisha B’Av]. Rather, the Mishkon was Nignaz - hidden. Therefore, its function is still alive. Just to mention, Chazal teach us that the Beis HaMikdosh Shel Ma’aloh [of above] is also intact were Eliyohu HaNavi [the Prophet] is Makriv [sacrifices] the Neshomos of Tzadikim [souls of the Righteous] to Hashem.

May we be Zoche [merit] to Hashro’as HaSchinoh amongst us speedily in our day with the building of the Third Beis HaMikdosh in Yerusholayim Ir HaKodesh, Omein Kein Yehi Rotzon.
