Someone was waiting for a good business deal to go through. He was looking for inspiration to help him in his trust in G-d, and decided to look in the book “Chovos Halevavos”. He found a passage that was very relevant to his situation. It says that the main thing in earning a livelihood is G-d’s blessing. The work we do is just to make a vessel for the blessing. We should choose an occupation that we are good at and that works out, and not stress out too much. Even if there are times when one isn’t making much money from one’s occupation, one shouldn’t think that one has to switch to a different occupation that doesn’t fit with one’s personality and talents. Just stick with the occupation that you’re good at, and the blessing will eventually come. Don’t stress out about the job, which is only a vessel for G-d’s blessing.
