Taste and See

The Alter Rebbe was once in a town populated by opponents of Chassidus. He stood at the bima in that hostile environment and announced in his signature chant, “Taste and see, Hashem is good!” The result was that tens of young Torah scholars became his disciples.

Nowadays, our Rebbe says it is much easier to effect the world. We only have to leave our own cheshbonos (self-serving calculations) and nullify ourselves to the instruction of the Rebbe. Through spreading the wellsprings of Chassidus we will hasten the coming of Moshiach.
