And you shall instruct Klall Yisroel to bring you clean oil from beaten olives for lighting, for lighting the lamps steadily. [Shemos 27:20]
Reb Yekil lived in a Polish Shtetl. He dreamt one night that at the foot of the Bridge in Prague was buried a treasure chest full of gold. In the morning, he headed out to Prague with his shovel to claim his find. Upon digging in Prague at the bridge, a soldier stopped him and questioned his actions. Upon hearing his dream, the soldier laughed and exclaimed, "Last night I dreamt that under the oven at Reb Yekil in the Polish Shtetel is hidden a treasure, you think I am going to go there to seek it?!?” Reb Yekil immediately returned home and dug under his oven and he found a treasure chest filled with gold. He became so rich, one of his first projects was to build a Shul made from cement whose ingredient consisted of egg yolks. Before the Chasidim would go to the Rebbe of Parshischoh ZY"A, they would first visit "Reb Yekils Shtiebel", to comprehend that the powers that the Rebbe bestows upon them is ultimately from them – the Chasidim.
This is very appropriate for this week's Parsha. As when we adorn the Kohanim and the Mishkon to shine its beauty, we are actually accepting the radiance which we have contributed to the Mishkon. According to each individual's contribution, such is he bestowed from Hashem a Heavenly radiance. Furthermore, as we learn the Shemen Zayis (olive oil) must be of pure content, this teaches us that to attain purity it must be done with pure intentions and ingredients.
