Restored Story

The following story was told by a teacher at a seminary in Petah Tikva: In the school where I teach, we noticed that most of the girls who did not go on from high school to the seminary and went out to work, later on they unburdened themselves and went out into a bad culture, God forbid. Because of this, the teachers would convince the girls that she would continue her studies at the seminary and by doing so she would be able to replenish her spiritual 'batteries' for the rest of her life...

One of the girls really wanted to continue in the seminary, but the problem was, she came from a poor home that could not afford her studies at the seminary, and a spiritual death sentence threatened her fate... The teachers did not give up and tried to seek funding from one of the charitable organizations that would support her financially. But they couldn't find it... The hourglass is running out, and the days for the start of school are approaching, and the daughter is still not organized in the seminary! The teacher's husband serves as an important head of the kollel funded by a great gentleman who holds the kollel in memory of his father. Every year on the day of the Yahrzeit, the gentleman comes with his family to a meal where the yeshiva students and the head of the kollel gather to recite the blessing and recite words of Torah in memory of his father. The teacher asked her husband to try to lift the man up for the benefit of the girl whose spiritual life was in danger, and he replied that it would be better for her to try to speak to the man's wife's heart.

In fact, the teacher told the gentleman's wife about the financial difficulties that the girl's parents have, poverty and deprivation screaming to the heart of heaven, and they don't even give her money to buy notebooks, and who is talking about monthly funding for the seminary? She also told her the statistics that revealed that most of the girls who do not continue in the seminar are spoiled and their spiritual fate is in danger! The gentleman's wife was shocked and asked her husband to enter the picture... The gentleman did not believe that there were such poor people in our generation and told the Rosh Kollel that he wanted to see it with his own eyes. The feast for his father's soul was over, and in the car heading towards Petah Tikva sat the gentleman, the head of the kollel and their wives.

A door down to fall greeted them as they knocked on the girl's house, and when it opened, they couldn't believe their eyes - poor screaming from every corner, old and mismatched flooring, and in some parts there was no flooring at all but cement... The fridge is completely empty except for bottled water... There is no shampoo, no washing powder, and most of the electrical appliances are broken... The children are terribly neglected and do not have a single game to relieve their boredom and forget their terrible sorrow. The gentleman could not see this and went out in a storm of emotions, turned to a realtor who would arrange an apartment for the family urgently, and when it was found, he bought them electrical appliances, furniture and filled their house with goodies. And he gave that girl money for the entire years of the seminary, including trips and clothes. At the graduation party of that girl at the seminar, she came up and told about the difficulties that accompanied her before the decision, the social pressure that pulled in the other direction: "You don't have money, it's an opportunity for you to go out to work in some mall and bring some money home... Her friends said worriedly... Until the decision fell in my heart: "I will continue, no matter what"!! And then came the help from above, "In the way that a person wants to walk, we lead him", all those angels who were created from that "decision" carried out my aspirations by that gentleman of kindness who donated his wealth with a large hand. It teaches us that we must work diligently in order to ignite the desire and ignite it without ceasing, so that it will never fade, God forbid, and that according to the strength of a person's will, so will Heaven help him and give him all the tools and means necessary for his success, and in the way he wishes to go, we will guide him...
