Shabbos Guests are a Segulah For Children:
Before the petirah of Rav Aharon of Chernobyl, thousands of Yidden who recognized him as the tzadik of the generation came to take leave of him. As he lay on his deathbed, he blessed them all.
One of the thousands of Yidden who wrote a kvitel for the Rebbe was a man who had not been blessed with children. In the rush, he did not write on his kvitel that he needed a bracha for a child. He only wrote his name.
When the Rebbe read this man’s kvitel, he asked, “Why didn’t he write that he needs a bracha for children?” He then said, “’Bameh yizkeh na’ar es orcho l’shmor k’devarcha. (In what manner should a young child purify his way? Tehillim 119:9).’ In what manner should a man merit having a young child? ‘Es orcho.’ By having orchim (guests) at his table every Shabbos.”
