CTeen is a dynamic network for Jewish teens across the globe, especially on school and college campuses. On a recent weekend, more than 3,000 Jewish teens filled Times Square in New York City, creating a moving scene of Jewish pride and unity. The event was part of the annual CTeen International Shabbaton, which brings together Jewish teens from around the world for a weekend of inspiration, learning, and connection.

The teens, many of whom took the initiative within their hometowns in recent times, gathered to celebrate their Jewish identity and to connect with an international community of proud Jewish teens. The majority of participants live in much smaller Jewish outposts, making the gathering in Times Square a powerful statement of unity and resilience.

The closing ceremony included a live broadcast, allowing tens of thousands more to join via livestream. The event featured musical performances, speeches, and the lighting of the iconic Times Square screens with messages of Jewish pride. Winners of the CTeen International awards were announced, recognizing teens who have shown exceptional leadership and commitment to their communities.

In light of the current climate presenting new challenges for Jewish teens, especially on campuses, the event served as a call to action for participants to take the next step in their own journeys and to stand proud in their Jewish identity. The message was clear: Jewish teens are courageous and resilient, and together they can overcome adversity and inspire others.

The ceremony concluded with a message of hope and unity, encouraging all participants to continue growing in their connection to Torah, mitzvot, and the Jewish people.
