The Way of Emunah | March 22, 2026

My grandfather, the Kretchnifer Rebbe zy”a, explained the words “Motzi Matzoh Marror Korech Shulchan Orech” by saying that “Matzoh” can mean “merivah” (dispute). Thus, the words can be translated to mean that when one removes himself (“motzi”) in a bitter dispute (“matzoh maror”), he can wrap a full table (“korech shulchan orech”), meaning that he can provide the world with a myriad of benefit. One machlokes can cause untold parnassah to be lost from the world. But if one removes himself from machlokes, he can allow the world to receive the bounty that it is destined to receive.
