This is the offering of Aaron and his sons, which each shall offer to Hashem on the day he is inaugurated; a tenth-eiphoh of fine flour as a continual meal-offering; half of it in the morning, and half of it in the afternoon. {Vayikroh 6:13}
An ordinary Cohen [priest] was required to bring a meal-offering only on the day of his induction into performing the Temple service. The Cohen Godol [High Priest], however, had to bring one each day. For the Cohen Godol, who was considered to be on a higher spiritual level, every day had to represent a new beginning - a renewal of zeal for the task he must accomplish. Thus, every day was a new “dedication”, similar to the one that ordinary Cohen experienced only his first day in staff.
