The Rebbe of Lechovitch zy”a also explained the above-quoted pasuk in Tehillim to be referring to atzvus. He translated it to mean that depression comes from “gold and silver, the handiwork of man”. If one believes that his livelihood is the result of his own efforts and skills, he will be depressed. As a result, he will “have a mouth but be unable to talk” to Hashem.
