10. (1:) The mitzva of Mishloach Manos on Purim. (2:) The Chasam Sofer writes that with regard to circumcision for one’s son, it is possible that it is greater to perform the mitzva through a shliach than to do it oneself, because “The one who answers omain is greater than the one who recites the blessing,” and the father answers omain to the bracha of the shliach (the Mohel) who circumcises; and besides for this, it is also like he performed the mitzva himself, because a shliach of someone is like them with regard to performance of the act entrusted. The result is that through appointing a shliach, the father possesses both merits, which would not be the case if he were to circumcise the child alone.
