In the Parsha

In this week’s פרשה we learn the פסוק of אַתָּה הָּרְ אֵתָּ . רבינו משה tells בני ישראל: you have been shown to know that ד' הוא האלוקים, there is none other besides Him.

Some commentaries explain that this refers to the miracles that they were shown in מצרים. These miracles are actually mentioned in the previous פסוק.

However, רש"י explains that this refers to what they were shown at הר סיני. When Hashem gave the תורה, He opened the heavens, and they saw that He is the only One.
