A person needs to start over many times every day, and in order to do this, he must prepare his soul by awakening it to the fact that the time of its redemption is quickly approaching. Even though the yetzer hara tries to distance this reality from our minds and prevent us from envisioning it by making us feel old and stuck in our past, this itself is precisely the main light of redemption: the brilliant illumination of making a new beginning no matter what situation we’re in.
We can tap in to the revelation of the future by becoming completely new and firmly deciding to always start over in getting out of exile, as if it were the very first time and we have never before awakened ourselves to escape the darkness. To accomplish this, we must daven to Hashem to be able to settle our minds with each new beginning and to understand that our redemption is coming very soon.
