Rabbi Avraham- Shmuel- Benyamin Schreiber [of blessed memory: 1 Adar 5575 – 19 Tevet 5635 (March 1815 – Dec. 1875 C.E.)], known as the Ksav Sofer, was the son of the illustrious Torah giant, the Chassam Sofer, Rabbi Moshe Shreiber (1762-1839), and his successor as the head of the Pressburg Yeshiva, the most prestigious in the Austrian-Hungarian empire and the largest in all of Europe at that time.
