He Had the Ability to Hasten the Redemption

The Munkatcher Rebbe zy”a (Sefer Divrei Torah, Mahadura 6, Ois 111) writes as follows:

My grandfather, Rav Tzvi Elimelech zy”a, author of Bnei Yissochor, once sadly said, “Ribono Shel Olam, You know well that if we wanted to bring close the ultimate geulah, we could break through the walls and tear them apart. But what can we do? You made us promise not to cause the redemption through strength. But we do have to daven for the geulah!”
