One Can Accomplish Much Good When He Visits The Sick

Tzadikim famously say that when one visits a sick person, he can daven for him, even if he does not know his name. This is learned from Moshe Rabenu, who asked Hashem to heal Miriam without mentioning her name (Bamidbor 12:13).

Since the Shechinah is there, the visitor can accomplish both great things for the sick person and for himself, as he can ask the Shechinah for whatever he needs.
