Hameichin Metzadei Gever: A Walking Miracle

Pulse of Emunah | June 27, 2025

Every part of the body demonstrates the infinite wisdom of Hashem. Our ability to walk is something we take for granted. Our feet are a very small base on which to support relatively large bodies. Because of the special shape of the heel, the toes, and the balls of the feet, we are able to balance ourselves and not tip over.

Walking would also be much harder without shoes. We would easily get hurt by rocks, glass, or other sharp items on the ground, and would have to avoid some places for fear of injury. We must remind ourselves that everything is a gift from Hashem.
